There is a handicapped boy that has been casted in the musical that I am in. I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY! He is the sweetest guy ever and he is so genuinely nice and happy-go-lucky. I believe he has cerebral palsy and a mild autism, but you would never really know about the autism unless someone told you to look for it. He is so engaged in the conversations that he is in, he laughs and smiles, and it honestly brings such pure joy to my heart.
He even sings with us and he will hopefully be doing a bit of choreography. He inspires me so much. The courage that he has makes my courage look invisible. He (Ryan) has been in the show (Guys and Dolls) before at the middle school he went to, and he is seriously SO EXCITED to be in it again! I am so impressed by his stamina and the capability that he has that most people would never expect. Most people would only see his wheelchair when they look at him, but now that I have sat down and talked to him, he is seriously one of the nicest people I know, and I thank God for giving me this chance to get close to Ryan, and make me think how lucky I am for what I was given in life, and how lucky I am to have met Ryan.
Thank you, Ryan, for inspiring me more than I ever thought one person could.
